Use this article to connect your Garmin Connect account to Hexis and choose exactly which data syncs.
Connecting Garmin
Tap More in the bottom navigation bar.
Tap Settings, then Integrations.
Select Garmin and tap Connect.
Sign in to your Garmin Connect account and select Agree to approve the connection.
Choosing what syncs
Once approved, you'll see four categories of data to choose from:
Completed workouts - select which sport activities you want to sync to Hexis (for example, cycling, swimming, running, or any combination).
Body composition - sync body weight and/or body fat percentage.
Fitness statistics - sync cycling-specific and running VO2 max.
Wellness - resting heart rate, HRV, sleep, steps, SPO2, and breathing rate.
You only need to select what you actually want in Hexis - for example, if you only want running activities and sleep data, select just those. Everything else stays in Garmin. Once you've made your selections, tap Save.
Syncing your data
To sync your data at any time, go to your Fuel Plan and pull down to sync. You'll see a notification confirming Hexis is fetching your wearable data - you can keep using the app while this runs. Once complete, you'll get a notification and the session will appear in Hexis. Open the session to see its source listed as Garmin at the bottom.
Changing what syncs later
Go to More > Settings > Integrations, select Garmin, and update your selections. Changes apply to all future syncs - data already in Hexis stays put.
Note: you can run Garmin alongside other platforms, such as TrainingPeaks, without duplicating data - for example, syncing completed activities from Garmin while keeping your planned workouts in TrainingPeaks.
FAQs
My training data didn't sync from Garmin - what should I do?
See the general sync troubleshooting steps in Wearable Integrations.
Does Hexis use my Garmin steps data to inform my energy requirements?
Only if the steps are associated with a specific activity in Garmin, such as a walk. Hexis doesn't dynamically update your energy requirements based on steps outside of an associated activity - your day-to-day activity level is instead reflected by the physical activity level you selected during onboarding.
Does Hexis take planned workouts from Garmin?
Not currently - this isn't available via the Garmin API. If you'd like your planned workouts to sync automatically, connect TrainingPeaks or Intervals.icu instead, both of which support this. You can also create workouts manually within Hexis - see Add Workouts.
