Why is my workout missing information?

What Hexis needs from every workout, planned or completed, and what to add for the most accurate fuelling.

Use this article if a workout is missing information, if Hexis has flagged a session as incomplete, or if a workout is not appearing in your Fuel Plan.

What every workout needs

Every workout needs four pieces of information, whether it's a session you've planned for later in the week or one you've already completed:

  • Activity – for example running, cycling, or swimming

  • Start time

  • Duration

  • Intensity

These four are mandatory. A workout missing any one of them can't be included in your Fuel Plan, which means Hexis can't generate your personalised Carb Codes around that session. Add what's missing and your Fuel Plan updates immediately.

Planned workouts

For a session you've planned, these four details are what Hexis uses to build your Fuel Plan. If a session has been planned in a connected platform and arrives without one of the four, open the workout in Hexis and add the missing detail. See How do I add a workout in Hexis? for the full set of fields.

Completed workouts

Once a session is complete, Hexis reflects the work you did rather than the work you planned. The same four details are required. A completed session that syncs without a duration or an intensity sits outside your Fuel Plan until you fill in the gap, so your Carb Codes for that day won't account for it.

Adding missing information

  1. Tap the workout.

  2. Add the activity, start time, duration, or intensity that's missing.

  3. Tap Save.

Your Fuel Plan updates immediately to reflect the change.

Recommended detail for the most accurate fuelling

The four mandatory details get a workout into your Fuel Plan. A few further details make the fuelling around it more precise, and we recommend adding them where you have them:

  • Average power (W) for cycling activities.

  • Average pace and total distance for running and swimming activities.

Power, pace, and distance give Hexis a direct read on the work done rather than an estimate of it, which sharpens both your exercise energy expenditure and the carbohydrate recommendations built around the session. How We Calculate Your Exercise Energy Expenditure sets out which data source is used for each sport.

FAQs

Why am I getting an alert saying information is missing on my workout?

This means the workout imported, but Hexis is missing one of the four details it needs to calculate your fuelling for that session - usually start time, duration, or intensity. Open the workout in Hexis, add the missing detail, and your Fuel Plan will update.

Will Hexis fix a missing detail automatically?

No. Hexis can't infer a missing start time, duration, or intensity - you'll need to add it yourself in the app. If the workout came from a connected platform, you can also add the detail there and sync again.
